The Old Gowrie line is a series of twelve designs, split evenly between six stouter briars fitted to accept 9mm filters, and six trimmer, more elegant shapes sans filter arrangement. Either way you have it, the black matte sandblasted finish shared by all suits the lot well, accentuating the leaner silhouettes of the latter, and emphasizing the more robust mass of the beefier 9mm designs. This broad-bowled, big-chambered straight Billiard is, rather obviously, a case of the latter.
