The Hilson brand began in Belgium around 1846 and went under in 1980. The brand was bought out by Royal Dutch Pipe Company in the 1980's, and shortly after made obsolete as Hilson pipes were unfiltered and therefore not suited for the European market. These 12 pipes we acquired were made as Samples in the early 2000's in efforts by a wholesaler to revive the brand but his efforts in dealing with the USPTO were problematic and were abandoned. So what we have here are 12 pipes that are one-of-a-kinds and will never be made again under the same HILSON MARQUIS.
